• Maintain good posture
If you are suffering from back pain the reason might be how you sit or how you handle heavy objects. As you sit, always support your back, when you stand, stand up straight and lift a load by bending your knees and keeping your back straight.
• Take breaks from use of devices
Using electronic devices for longer duration can cause headache, neck and back pain. It is advised that you take breaks every 30 minutes to relax your shoulder and neck.
• Exercise regularly
You can avoid back pain by strengthening your bones through regular exercise. Do simple activities like stretching your body, moving your neck and waist.
• Reduce stress
Stress can be a factor for so many physical problems we face. Managing stress could be one way to avoid back pain. Take time for yourselves and relax once in a while to refresh your mind.
• Maintain your weight
Choose your diet properly and reduce excessive weight, especially fat that is around the waist which will strain lumbar muscles and cause back pain.
• Have some rest
You must sleep on a firm surface and with a good posture at bedtime to relax your spine. Sleeping on your side is helpful to reduce back pain.
• Get enough sunlight
Direct sunlight for about 10 minutes is useful to strengthen the entire skeletal system. Vitamin D is also found is foods.
• Stop smoking
Smoking cigarette reduces the blood flow to the lower spine and causes degeneration of spinal discs. Therefore quitting smoking may help cure your back pain.
